The Senatorial candidate for All Progressives Congress (APC) for Osun East Senatorial District, Engr. Israel Ajibola Famurewa was rated the best in a public debate organized for all the National Assembly candidates in the Senatorial District.
Constituents and other notable dignitaries who attended the debate organised by Iceland Progressives Forum showered praises on Famurewa for his sterling performance at the debate held at Oba Okunade Sijuade Memorial Hall in Ile-Ife.

The largely attended debate by candidates of political parties such as Hon. Ajibola Famurewa (APC Osun East Senatorial District), Hon. Olaniyi Babatunde (Accord party, Osun East Senatorial District), Olori Remi Aderemi ( KOWA party, House of Reps; Ife), Otunba Ayodele Fanibe (Accord Party, House of Reps; Ife) and Hon. Folorunsho Oladoyin, APC House of Reps, Ife) was described as insightful by the attendants.
At the debate which was also attended by prominent indigenes of Ile-Ife, politicians, civil society groups, captains of industries and individuals, the candidates at their separate turns explained their plans, projects and programmes to the constituents, calling on the voters to vote them in.

Famurewa, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Osun East Senatorial District said that if elected, he would sponsor meaningful bills and motions that will be of positive impacts to the people of Ife/Ijesha senatorial district.
Famurewa confidently said that he was not a novice in this political world and he knows how to tackle problems with his experience at the green chambers.

He said, “Youth empowerments will be our priority. Youths will be trained and positively empowered to reduce unemployment. We will equally create opportunities for young graduates and allow women to take shots at opportunities. Less privileged and aged ones will be our top priorities. He equally appealed to electorates to vote for all APC candidates.
While speaking with journalists, Venerable Ademola Odunlade, the coordinator for the Ife Land Progressive Forum, expressed the forum’s disappointment over the absence of some candidates after being invited for the debate.
Ademola who described the event as an eye opener to voters, explained that the electorates present have been well informed about the candidates, adding that it won’t be difficult for them to make the right choice on election day.
