President Muhammadu Buhari has made it plain that he will exclusively support All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates in the elections of 2023.
Buhari will not accept former party members or politicians who are involved in legal disputes with APC candidates, according to Garba Shehu, the president’s spokesperson.
A statement on Wednesday released by the the president’s spokesperson, Garba Shehu, says

“Buhari will not accept former party members or politicians who are involved in legal disputes with APC candidates.
Part of the statement read,
“The Presidency wishes to state for the record and at the same time reassure devoted party members that President Muhammadu Buhari remains a “disciplined soldier” of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and will, in all the upcoming elections, support only those candidates fielded by the party and no other.”
It added that,
“This is a warning to decamped party members and some others who are still in court against official candidates of the APC that they are on their own and nobody outside the party tent should link what they are doing to President Buhari.”
