Oke-Eri Village, Ijebu-Ode residents cry out against Fulani herdsmen invasion

The Management of a popular furniture company in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, Bisrod Furniture has cried out against the invasion of Fulani herdsmen in its farm.
It said the herdsmen invaded its plantation with machetes and guns. This is the reason they are sending Save Our Souls to the Ogun State Government to come to its aid.

A letter sent to the Police Command, Ijebu-Ode stated that over 200,000 hardwood tree species were seriously vandalised.
The letter also stated that in the thick of the fracas, staff of the wood making company were able to apprehend a small cow as exhibit to support “the report of the incident to the Police Area Commander, Ijebu Ode.

“We are calling on the Ogun State government to extend its ongoing security of Ogun State to Oke-eri village. This is for the safety of our family and properties from the Fulani herdsmen.”

It would be recalled that within this month of January 2018 a farmer was killed by gun men suspected to be Fulani Herdsmen in Ogun State. Only the privilege citizens were able to cry out on the invasion and menace of the herdsmen in their farms. Many farmer are crying in silence not knowing where to channel their grievances.
