ABIA State Govt boosts Naira strengths, procures Local IVM Vehicles for official engagements

GOVERNOR of Abia State, Alex Otti has decided to boost Nigerian local currency, the Naira in order to strengthen it by patronizing local Innoson Vehicles for the state’s official engagements.

 

 

 

 

 

In a Press Release by the Head, Corporate Communications IVM Innoson Group, Cornel Osigwe available to SOJ WORLDWIDE, Abia State Government is in collaboration with Innoson Vehicles.

 

 

 

He made the statement when the IVM Boss, Chief Dr. Innocent Chukwuma paid a courtesy visit to the State Governor, Alex Otti in his office.

 

 

 

According to Osigwe, IVM has already supplied 40 out of the 50 vehicles ordered.

Abia State government has reaffirmed its commitment to increase patronage of Innoson vehicles on Friday, 11th August.

 

 

 

 

 

Governor Alex Otti noted this when the IVM Boss, Chief Dr. Innocent Chukwuma CON paid him a courtesy visit at his residence in Isiala-ngwa, Abia State.

In his welcome speech, the governor lauded IVM’s dedication to quality and expressed ongoing support for the local manufacturer.

 

 

 

 

“I have seen the resilience in you since we met in 2005 and it’s really commendable. From my days in the banking sector, I have always found ways to support Innoson Vehicles”.

He emphasized the significance of patronizing homegrown brands and highlighted his enduring partnership with IVM.

 

 

 

 

“Abia State’s Partnership with Innoson Vehicles remains very solid. Everybody knows that even during my inauguration you produced the trucks I used. The Speaker, Deputy speaker’s vehicles and others are all made by Innoson, supplied within the last two weeks.

Giving his remarks, the Chairman/CEO of Innoson Vehicles, Chief, Dr. Innocent Chukwuma CON, acknowledged the governor’s continued support and mentioned plans for an IVM CNG Conversion hub in Abia State.

 

 

 

“Governor Alex Otti is one of the persons that support Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing massively. He has ordered for more vehicles from us recently”.

 

 

 

 

“Work has begun in Abia State for the IVM CNG Conversion hub. a lot of persons still use petrol/diesel powered vehicles and we are here to help many people convert their vehicles to CNG inorder to make transportation more affordable”.

 

 

 

 

The state’s collaboration with IVM remains strong, with ongoing purchases and support for local manufacturing.

The Special Assistant to the Governor on Monitoring and Evaluation, Mazi Okoroafor Ugochukwu testified to the quality of cars produced by Innoson Vehicles and assured the IVM team of their continued support, noting especially the purchase of about 40 vehicles delivered to Abia State recently, out of the 50 ordered from it’s first phase.

  1. This is great. If every state in Nigeria procures 50 Innocson cars, it will not only enhance the capacity of the company but also create numerous home jobs while also boosting the Naira exchange capacity. Cheers to Gov Oti
