Ace radio and television broadcaster, Dare Best Alabi popularly known as Dare Best has been laid to rest by few of his friends, fans and colleagues in the entertainment industry in observance of COVID-19 social distancing order.

The burial took place on Wednesday, May 20, 2020, in Anglican Cemetery, Kobape Abeokuta Ogun State in the presence of few Friends and Family.
The Family decided to invite a few people for the burial ceremony to obey the COVID-19 social distant rules.
Dare Best died on Monday, May 18, 2020, in Abeokuta Ogun state after a brief illness.
The Ace broadcaster before his death was a host to several programmes on radio and television stations both in Lagos and Ogun State.
He anchored Programmes on Faaji FM, Root Fm, Sweet Fm, Mitv, Lagos Television and others.
Dare Alabi was well known with different pen names like Mr white Lion, Opalapatira, Otrenge yeye Eja nla Barakuda just to mention a few.

He was a motivational broadcaster with a fusion of rich entertaining content.
Ambrose Somide, the Managing Director of Radio Services, DAAR Communication Plc described late Dare Alabi as a humble and professional broadcaster.

“It started with a message from a distant land through an unusual medium. Your brother was reaching out to me, to tell me you were seriously ill, so ill.
“This was followed by a phone conversation with your distraught old mother.‘Hmmm, he has been ill for days and now it is only God…..’, Her tone was that of resignation. A resignation to fate.
“I made effort to speak with you, but you were long gone. Your voice with which you blessed many on Radio and Television was long gone. Though your body was here, it was only for a few hours to say goodbye. Your spirit was already on his way to Olodumare.
“My humble friend and brother, my darling colleague, Dare Best, gone. Still struggling to get over the shock.
“Dare Best-Alabi, You honored me by calling me ‘Baba mi’ and you were always ready to listen to my admonitions.

“We had a ‘father-son’ professional phone discussion two weeks ago and you never gave an idea of the pains you were going through, you hid your pains, you bore it all.
“You promised to come over, so we could sit and talk after a long while. A promise that probably will now be fulfilled in Dreams.
“I won’t hide my emotions, Dare, no i won’t.I will cry. Yes, I will.
“Fare thee well my brother. Have a peaceful journey home. I will miss you. “Yes, Truly and surely I will.
“Rest now my brother. Rest ”. Ambrose concluded,while Taiwo Alabi Afadapakuro also posted on his Facebook page
“At last,Dare Best Alabi, it’s true that you are no more, you will spend your first night in a grave all alone, tears filled my eyes when I saw your lifeless body in a coffin, no more party, programme, even Covid 19 isn’t yours, how I wish you could wake up again to proof everybody wrong.GOOD NIGHT OLORI OKO. Thanks you all for your support, you will never lost your beloved one”
