Obasanjo’s ADC in disarray in Oyo State, Assembly member calls for his urgent intervention

Hon Afeez Adeleke has therefore called for the intervention of Obasanjo before the party goes into extinction in the state.

Adeleke made this declaration while speaking with journalists at the weekend in Ibadan, the state capital.

Adeleke, was among 15 Oyo Assembly members that met Obasanjo in Abeokuta to finalise their resolve to move to the ADC.

The lawmaker urged all leaders of the party to work together in their bid to capture the state in the 2019. He argued that “Obasanjo is our guide, he has the solution, he is the solution to the ADC crises.

“We met in Abeokuta and we finalised that we are moving from the ruling APC to the ADC. Obasanjo should prevail because he is our father.

Ladoja was invited to join the party, though the reconciliation is ongoing. There is a need for us to work to send APC away in 2019.

“We should meet him as a matter of urgency; meet Obasanjo again on how to resolve the crises”.

Adeleke was surprised that Ladoja who was invited to join the party about three weeks ago hijacked the party from Unity Forum.

“Unity Forum, a faction within the ruling APC some months ago, we joined ADC in which Ladoja was also invited. Four days ago, we noticed some members of Ladoja faction went ahead to conduct the state congress without the Unity Forum.

We condemned the activity of the Ladoja faction. And we have called the NEC to intervene, and the reconciliation is ongoing.”

“The reconciliation is ongoing. I was at the meeting; we issued a severity two hours ultimatum to the so-called chairman to cancel the congresses. And he promised that he will get back to us.

“But, we are expecting the guide of former President Olusegun Obasanjo to rescue the party in Oyo state. We want him, Obasanjo who is our father to intervene.

Though, the reconciliation is ongoing, we are expecting Obasanjo to intervene because he is the guide of the party. I believed if he intervenes the problem will be solved”.
