Barely four days to the Osun governorship election, the Nigerian police on filed a four-count charge against PDP’s candidate, Senator Ademola Adeleke.
The police, in a Federal High Court in Abuja, charged him for examination malpractice, aiding and abetting, impersonation, and criminal conspiracy.
Police alleged that Ademola and his brother Sikiru Adeleke registered and sat for the National Examination Council Examination (NECO) 2017 as internal candidates, impersonating students of the school at the ages of 57 and 42 years respectively.
It also alleged that the governorship aspirant made a statement that he registered for the May/June diet of the National Examination Council examinations, which is made for internal students.
Police spokesman Jimoh Moshood told newsmen that the duo did not sit for the exams, however.
Moshood explained further that both the Senator and his brother Sikiru Adeleke’ s pictures were captured in the school’s photo book of 2017 but no NECO seal was found on their photos, unlike the rest of the students.
In another news, WAEC, has also confirmed before an Abuja High Court that Senator Ademola Adeleke sat for the 1981 examination of the council, but failed to pass any paper.
The examination council confirmed that he only made appearance for English Language exam where he had an F9.
