ADELEKE on a collision course with State Assembly over multiple Executive Orders…Assembly reacts

THE multiple Executive Orders rolled out from the office of Executive Governor of Osun, Senator Ademola Adeleke within hours of his inauguration is already drawing the ire of the State Assembly.

 

In a Press Release by the Chairman, House Committee on Media and Publicity, Hon. Moshood Kunle Akande available to SOJ WORLDWIDE, the Assembly pick holes for not observing the State Anthem at the inauguration on Sunday and for the reversal of “Virtuous State” to “Living Spring”

The Assembly Press Release reads in part,

“The State of Osun House of Assembly having reviewed the inaugural speech and the activities of the inauguration hereby resolve as follows;

“The usage of the State Anthem, Crest and Flag is an Enactment of law and as such, its usage is a matter of law and not choice.”

“The enactment, “State of Osun Anthem, Crest and Flag Law, 2012.’ assented to on the 18th of December, 2012 contained in schedule I, II , III, IV and V which carefully details every component of this law is not ambiguity.”

The statement added that the state remains ‘A Virtuous State’ ‘Ipinle Omoluabi’ because it was created by law.
