AGAIN! BLOOD thirsty gunmen kill mother, four children, two others in Anambra

Less than 48 hours when an Anambra State lawmaker was beheaded and his head hung at Motor Park, another tragedy struck on Sunday in various locations in the state as blood thirsty gunmen killed seven persons; a mother, four of her children and two others.

The attack took place at Isulo in Orumba North council.

The other two persons were killed at Abatete in Idemili North council.

A source told The Nation that the gunmen invaded the areas, opened fire on the victims and left.

Police spokesman Ikenga Tochukwu could not confirm the incident, saying details were sketchy.

But he said the Command would talk about the incidents today, when they would have got a clear picture of what transpired.

However, a senior police officer confirmed the Isulo incident.

Tension has heightened in the state following the daily attacks by gunmen.
