DEMOLITION: The residents and shop owners in Ibadan woke up Thursday morning to see the officials of Ministry of Environment & Water Resources ready to dismantle shops.
The shops are located on Challenge/Efusetan dual Carriage Way, Ibadan.
When SOJWORLD.COM visited the scene of the demolition exercise, the government official who on condition of anonymity said he received a call from the governor yesterday night to demolish the shops this morning.
He said Governor Ajmobi said he must not see any structure on both sides of the road agains.
Market women were seen wailing and complaining why Ajimobi did this uto them without prior notice.
The shop owners, who are mostly women said they received calls from good Samaritan that a demotion stickers were pasted o the shops. No notice was given prior to this exercise.

As at 9.00am, armed men from Civil Defence, environmental officials have started demolition of the structures.
The shops owners were seen scampering to recover their goods from the shops while rushing to remove containers that were yet to be destroyed.
