Two robbery suspects, Hussaini Dikko and Usman Umar, who were arrested by the Niger State Police claimed Allah destined it.
The robbery suspects who were reportedly robbing residents of Wawa, New Bussa, when they were apprehended by the police, claimed they would have escaped if Allah had not destined that they would be caught. They were arrested at Gufanti Fulani Camp in New Bussa Local Government Area of the state.
The suspects engaged the police in a gun duel during which they were injured. According to Hussaini, shots were to enable their escape but met a stronger fight from the police.
“We opened fire to scare them. Unfortunately, they wounded one of us during the exchange of gunfire and arrested.
“Allah has destined that they will catch us, so there is nothing anybody can do about it. We have accepted our fate, so let the law take its course,†he said.

The Niger State Police Command Spokesperson Muhammad Abubakar, told newsmen that one single-barrel gun and cutlasses were recovered from the robbery suspects who would be charged to court after investigation. According to him, the suspects confessed to the crime.
