Another Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos, Chief Juliana Dupeola Awodogan, popularly known as ‘Iya Oniyan’ is dead, same day Lagos Lawmaker, Sobir Olayiwola Olawale aka Omititi slumped and died at the APC takeoff rally in Jos.
The woman, who is in her 70s died at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Lagos on Tuesday.
She has been battling undisclosed ailment for long.
Her son, Onarebu Niyi Awodogan announced the death of his mother on Tuesday.

She was said to have gone to the hospital after her condition became critical and she died at LUTH.
The deceased has been taken to the morgue.
His son is the Supervisory Councillor of Ojuwoye Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in Mushin.
The late Oniyan controlled a women group which normally drum campaign for the APC during election period in Lagos through dancing and grassroots mobilisation.

She was given the nickname ‘Oniyan’ because she was a pounded yam merchant and used to supply the State House Lagos pounded yam during the administration of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
