The former governor of the State of Osun, Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola has dispelled rumours making the rounds about the allegation of disagreement between him and the incumbent governor of the state, Mr Gboyega Oyetola.
Aregbesola made the remarks in Osogbo while speaking a Ramadan Lecture organized to celebrate his 62nd birthday by En-Route Rauf with the theme: Leadership and Followership in Nigeria: The Islamic Perspectives.

“Let me clear the air that there is no friction between me and the present government. The current government in the state came on board as a result of our unfettered commitment and efforts. We cannot but continue to pray for the progress of what we laboured and strived for.
“Oyetola is my elder brother, who is senior to me in all ramifications. He has achieved a lot in his personal life before having a stint at all in government. So, nothing could have caused any issue between us. Let our detractors know that there can only be peace within us and the state.”
