Armed robbers storm Osun, attack two banks, one killed

Dare devil armed robbers on Thursday afternoon raided two banks, UBA and Access in Iree Community in Boripe Local Government Area of Osun State killing a one person suspected to be a policeman.

The robbers were said to have attacked the banks at 3:45pm.

The gunmen shot sporadically into the air as passerby ran for their lives .

Confirming the urgly incident, an eyewitnesses said that the robbers were shooting sporadically into the air while escaping through Iree-Ada road.

Spokesperson of the Osun State Police Command, SP Yemisi Opalola confirmed the incident and disclosed that police have been deployed to the scene.

At the time of filing this report, police officers have taken over the premises of the incident to restore normalcy.
