After Atiku’s victory, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso was named to coordinate Northwest being the most populous region with the largest voters. With Kwankwaso in the area where he has his largest followers, President Muhammadu Buhari would be given a tough contest.
But in a twist of events, the governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal was named to replace Kwankwaso.
In his official Twitter Page, PDP spokesman, Kola Ologbodiyan wrote;

* Senate President Bukola Saraki will be the Director-General of Atiku Campaign Council.
* Governor Aminu Tambuwal, Zonal Coordinator – Northwest
* Governor Dankwambo, Zonal Coordinator, Northeast
* Governor Samuel Ortom, Zonal Coordinator, North-Central.

Going by the above, Kwankwaso who was said to have delivered the highest votes to President Buhari in 2015 with two million votes was not reckoned with in the new PDP arrangement.
