The Online Media Practitioners of Nigeria, OMPAN, State of Osun Chapter has condemned the attack On Journalists in Osun and described it as Barbaric Dangerous
In a Press Release by the Acting Coordinator of OMPAN (State of Osun) ,Adesoji Omosebi who is also the Editor-in-Chief of SOJ WORLDWIDE said it is amazing that those whom the journalists are protecting are the same people attacking and brutalizing them.

The attack on journalists in Ilesha on Monday was nothing but barbaric, dangerous, and uncivilized.
It is amazing that those whom the journalists are protecting by reporting the pains to the authority for solution on the pains they are going through daily without power supply are the very people assaulting the journalists for doing their legitimate duties.
It will be recalled that reporters and cameramen attached to the Channels Television,, Shitu Abdulfatai, his Camera Man, Kadri Kabir and TVC reporter, Rafiu Hammed and his Camera man, Taiwo Adu were among those attacked and wounded with dangerous weapons by suspected thugs.

It is unfortunate that defenceless Nigerians going about their legitimate duties could be attacked in day light with impunity.
We call on security agencies to fish out the thugs who carried out these attacks on members of the Press in the State of Osun with immediate effect.
We appreciate the timely intervention of the governor of the State of Osun, Gboyega Oyetola in shutting down the higher institutions that could fuel the further rampage.
