The first Nigeria’s indigenous comedian, Moses Adejumo popularly known as Baba Sala is dead.
Baba Sala died in his country home, Ilesha, Osun State on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at the age of 84 after a brief illness.
In his hey days, Baba Sala acted and sang with dexterity. He it was who mentored Sunday Adegeye aka Sunny Ade into limelight that he is today.
He was the Nigerian comedian who brought comedy into stage drama and movie industry. He was also a musician of note who added music into acting with the icons likes late Hubert Ogunde, Duro Ladipo, Oyin Adejobi and host of others.
Moses Adejumo started his art career at a very tender age. This, he explained during his lifetime connected him to the likes of late sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo.

Though abandoned by professional artistes at old age, late Elder Adejumo devoted his life to the service in the vineyard as a Senior Apostle of Seraphim and Cherubim church in Idasa, Ilesa as stage plays became outdated stage actors also became outdated with video recorders at home, films can be watched at home.
The late comedian also has a small hotel while his children are helping him to complement with his sources of living until his demise.
He would be remembered for his comedy series on Western Nigeria Television (WNTV) every Monday in the 1970s.
