Babajide Kolade-Otitoju celebrates birthday with funfare at Journalist Hangout on TVC (PHOTOS+DETAILS)

One of the best and popular Investigative Journalists, fearless and blunt social critics, Babajide Kolade-Otitoju (BKO) celebrated his birthday on the popular TVC program, Journalist Hangout on Monday, March 28, 2022.

Head of Departments and the CEO of TVC took turns to wish BKO best wishes on his birthday.

Group photographs was taken at the tail end of the program with the cutting of Birthday Cake with the anchor of the program on Monday.

BKO took time, this morning to appreciate God for sustaining his life till date.

The Kogi born Journalist who had many awards to his credit said one of his earliest awards came from NUJ, Kano State Chapter when the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero signed the award in 1997 as the Best Investigative Correspondent.

BKO celebrated his birthday on his Official Facebook Page on Monday morning with this fascinating piece,

“SIYABONGA NKOSI

There are a zillion reasons I should be grateful to God who has made me to see another year. As I count my days I can’t but be grateful for the way God has chaperoned me through life’s mazy journey and what He has made out of me. I am the solid evidence that God is such a wonderful potter.

I was tidying up my room recently when I saw my first ever professional award of excellence which I received in 1997 in Kano from the state chapter of the Nigerian Union of Journalists, NUJ for Best Investigative Correspondent. The award was signed by the late Emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero.

God’s grace and mercy have helped me, brought me this far. The ruler of the universe has been so good to me despite my inadequacies and limitations. Though He has exceeded my expectations so far, as I start another year I trust Him that He still has a lot in store for me.

Thank you for your faithfulness Lord, thank you for another milestone in life’s journey.”
