It was a blaze of glory for HRH Oba Oyelude Makama on Monday, September 14, 2020 as the Chief of Army Staff, Lt General T.Y. Buratai, top military officers, Osun Governor and Deputy, Adegboyega Oyetola and Benedict Gboyega Alabi respectively and other important dignitaries storm Owu Kuta for the commissioning of a link bridge constructed by the military linking Ede and Kuta-Ikoyi.

HRH Oba Makama also commissioned two new state-of-the-art buildings, one dedicated to the Chief of Army Staff, General Buratai while second one was an Event Centre/Guest House for receiving guests and holding of meetings at the palace.
The commissioning was performed by the Osun State Governor, Oyetola and the Chief of Army Staff, Buratai
It was an elaborate event that involved all sons and daughters of Owu Kuta, Ikoyi and adjoining communities adorned in same uniform (Aso-ebi) with various band stands celebrating the link bridge they have been yearning for for over 40 years.

At the palace to entertain the guest was Alhaji Abass Akande popularly known as Obesere with the gathering of sons and daughters of Owu Kuta home and abroad celebrating their king who brought economic growth and development to the community.
Guests, sons and daughters made the palace a tourist centre on Monday at the mini zoo sight watching and entertaining themselves while Obesere added life with his melodious Fuji songs.
