The Senator representing Osun West Senatorial District, Senator Ajibola Bashiru popularly known as SRJ has taken a swipe at the leaders of The Osun Progressives (TOP) for deceiving their followers despite all the gains they have enjoyed from the APC.
SRJ in his address to his supporters said he cannot deny the fact of the formation of TOP but he told the leaders when it was about to be formed that what they are planning to form is forbidden, they should not try it.
According to the video clip available to SOJ WORLDWIDE ONLINE NEWS, http://www.sojworldnews.com SRJ went further,
“I have known ahead before the formation of TOP, and those who planned to form it, I, Ajibola Bashiru told them this group you are about to form is forbidden, don’t do it because many people would have been saying I am a betrayer. I am not a betrayer, I didn’t betray my party. Whoever does that is left for God to judge.
“Whoever is fighting for himself is different from those fight for the party. If you are a Senator, Governor, Counselor, you will leave one day but the party will still remain.”
“I went to the leaders who formed it, I have my evidence of the letter I wrote that you don’t form a faction in a progressive party. If you create a faction, it is either you are forming it to destroy the party or to earn yourself disgrace. Which one is better?
“The intention of the leaders of TOP is that they know they don’t have anywhere to go but to destroy the party and to suffer party members at the grassroots not Oyetola or Ajibola Bashiru.”
“Tell the grassroot members that their leaders are deceiving them, all of them are still enjoying the dividends of the party.”
“Kolapo Alimi is still receiving N508,000 monthly where he is working for Honourable Gbajabiamila and he is still complaining that he didn’t get any benefit from Oyetola. Please ask him where he is now, is it not thesame party?”
“Adelowo Adeniyi is still receiving N508,000 monthly, I have his payslip with me. If he says what I said was wrong let him go to the court of law that I defamed him.”
“Nojeem Salaam is receiving N1,2 million where he is working. Most of the leaders that you see collect their monthly pay. Those who are not getting monthly pay gets contracts to supply food to prisoners”
