Political upheaval is turning to a boiling point today in Ekiti as one of the prominent members of APC and governorship candidate in Ekiti State, Hon Opeyemi Bamidele was on Friday shot by an unknown gunmen.

Bamidele was said to have been shot in the stomach and leg at a welcome rally organised for Dayo Adeyeye who defected from the Peoples Democratic Part, PDP to the APC in Ekiti State.
