The Nigeria Judiciary did the unthinkable in Bayelsa State governorship election slated for Saturday when two court judgements was pronounced on a case within 24 hours.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) on Thursday granted relief to APC candidate, David Lyon to contest the governorship election on Saturday in Bayelsa State.
The Appeal Court sitting in Port Harcourt has granted Stay of Execution on the judgment of the Federal High Court in Yenagoa barring the All Progressives Congress (APC) from participating in Bayelsa State Governorship Election slated for Saturday, November 16.

The ruling means APC’s candidate David Lyon will be participating in the Governorship election.
The opposition party in the state at a press conference had earlier in the day rejected the ruling nullifying the candidature of Lyon in the poll.
It further said that it has applied for a stay of execution at the Appeal Court.

Recall that a recent court order also disqualified the party’s deputy governorship candidate, Biobarakuma Degi, from participating in the forthcoming poll.
