Those who are affected are protesting the injustices against them in the just concluded primary elections into the National and State Assembly in Osun State.
Those who defected into the opposition PDP includes; Ojuolape Olagbaju, Kayode Ogundele. and their supporters.
Ogundele was the APC Chairman in Ife East while Enitilo was the APC Chairman in Ife Central.
The Chairmen and all their supporters have joined the PDP. Receiving them on Monday was Professor Wale Ladipo, Hon. Bimbo Ajilesoro and Mr. Adewusi, Running Mate to Senator Ademola Adeleke, the Governorship candidate in the July 16, 2022 gubernatorial election.
According to our reliable source who preferred to remain anonymous because of the sensitive nature of this exclusive information, he told SOJ WORLDWIDE http://(www.sojworldnews.com) that if the leadership of APC did not take immediate action, there might be another mass defections in Oriade/Obokun, Ede, Ila and Ifelodun Federal Constituencies in matter of days.
The source told SOJ WORLDWIDE Correspondent that the mass exodus was not unconnected to the manner at which all these Local Government Patty Chairmen and Ward Chairmen were dropped unjustly at the last Local and Ward Congresses accross board in Ife Federal Constituency to give ways to the SDP coalition members who joined the party lately.
Kayode Ogundele wrote on his official Facebook account available to SOJ WORLDWIDE,
“It behooves every society, organizations, and individuals to reassess their long held beliefs to see if they are in tandem with modern day realities. When your political mantra and creed of Justice, Equity, and Peace is anathemic to your political operations, it breeds inequality, iniquity, and inequanimity. For whatever is worth, this is to inform the public that, i have renounced my membership of APC.”.
Ojuolape Olagbaju, on his own, wrote of his defection on his official Facebook account,
“It behooves every society, organizations, and individuals to reassess their long held beliefs to see if they are in tandem with modern day realities. When your political mantra and creed of Justice, Equity, and Peace is anathemic to your political operations, it breeds inequality, iniquity, and inequanimity. For whatever is worth, this is to inform the public that, i have renounced my membership of APC.”
The injustice, according to our source might deny the second term chances of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola.
This same scenario played out when a popular Singer and rapper, Olubankole Wellington popularly known as Banky W. won a Primary election under the PDP to contest for the Lagos State House of Assembly was denied the ticket after it had been widely reported by the media. The uproar forced the leadership of PDP to reverse their unpopular imposition.
Would the APC leadership revisit the grievances of these contestants? Time will tell.
