In what appears to be a political battles of the Titans, the brother to the late Senator Isiaka Adeleke who signifies his intention to contest the vacant position in the Osun West Senatorial position, Dr. Demola Jackson Adeleke has defected to the PDP this evening.
He defected to PDP (Biket Faction) along with Sunday Akere and Fatai Diekola.
His decamp might not be unconnected to the clean of bill of health given to Senator Mudasiru Hussein who is supposed to enter into APC primary contest with him on Wednesday, June 14, 2017.
Having decamped to the rival party, Senator Mudasiru Hussein will get a smooth ride to represent APC while Dr. Demola Adeleke will represent a faction of the PDP in the senatorial elections to be conducted very soon.
It was revealed earlier that Dr. Demola Adeleke is not a card carrying member of APC but was able to secure approval to contest for the senatorial seat from the APC National Headquarters instead of his primary constituency, the State of Osun.
It should be noted that Sunday Akere was the former Commissioner for Information and Strategy in the first term of the governor of the State of Osun, Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola.
