The National Chairman of APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole queried the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Prof Mahmood Yakubu on why he had to announce the postponement of elections when people have already gone to bed.
The ongoing briefing at Abuja by the INEC Chairman was very hot when Oshiomhole took over the microphone.
Oshiomhole said the INEC Chairman had to explain why he could not announce the postponement on Wednesday.

He said the explanation of INEC boss was not acceptable and that he had to apologize to Nigerians for the embarrassment caused. Why should he wait until the parties have to deploy their agents to all polling units before the announcement?
Oshiomhole said he was disappointed, embarrassed and he sees no reason why previous speakers are commending the chairman.

The APC Chairman insisted that INEC Chairman must explain why he waited until 2 am before announcing the cancellation.
In his response, Prof Yakubu said he regretted what happened in his earlier press briefing.
Mahmood Yakubu said as, at 12 midnight, we are still confident that the election will still hold but was disappointed that airlines that were responsible to lift voting materials could not meet up with the challenges.
