The Osun State Governor, Mr Adegboyega Oyetola has given concession to the ongoing curfew in the state.
Oyetola twitted in his official Twitter Page on Wednesday evening monitored by SOJ WORLDWIDE ONLINE NEWS, the curfew will now start from 8.00pm to 6.00am till further notice.
“Following the review of the security situation in the State, we’ve decided to relax the 24-hr curfew declared last Saturday to avert breakdown of law & order. Effective from tomorrow, Thursday, October 29, the curfew will run from 8:00pm to 6:00am daily, until further notice.
This means members of the public can now go about their activities between 6:00am & 8:00pm daily. Security operatives will however be on ground to enforce the new curfew directive, as part of efforts to maintain law & order across the State.
I commend citizens & residents of Osun for their understanding & cooperation in the last few days. I urge you all to continue to be peaceful and law abiding. As a govt., we will continue to make efforts to protect the lives & property of our people.”
