BREAKING: Southern Governors call again for state police, frown at selective criminal admin of justice, ultimatum for enactment of anti-open grazing law
The Southern Governors rose from their meeting and issued a communique in which they frowned at selective administration of Justice, reiterated call for state police, giving ultimatum for the enactment of anti-grazing law and that governors of the state should be duly informed of any operations by security agents before undertaking it.
This was contained in the communique available to SOJ WORLDWIDE, http://www.sojworldnews.com on Monday, July 5, 2021 on a meeting that was held in Lagos after their first meeting held in Delta State.
They have unanimously agreed that the meeting be permanently held in Lagos henceforth.
Although the names of agitators like Sunday Igboho and Nnamdi Kanu were not mentioned but their issues was indirectly mentioned when the selective administration of Justice was mentioned,
“the forum frowns at selective criminal administration of Justice and resolved that arrests should be made within the ambit of the Law and fundamental human rights;”
The communique read in part,
“The Forum reviewed the security situation in the country and commends security operatives for their relentless efforts in restoring security and safety and commiserates with families and loved ones of those who have fallen in the line of duty; b. Re-emphasised the need for State Police; c. Resolved that if for any reason security institutions need to undertake an operation in any State, the Chief Security Officer of the State must be duly informed;
