CBN Debunks Fake Circular Of Introduction Of New N5,000 And N10,000 Currency Notes

THE Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 debunked a fake circular introducing new N5,000 and N10,000 notes effective May 1, 2025.

 

In the fake circular was the portrait of Chief Obafemi Awolowo on N5,000 and Chief Nnamdi Azikiwe on N10,000.

 

In the official Page of the CNN monitored by SOJ WORLDWIDE, it reads,

“This content is NOT from the Central Bank of Nigeria. Kindly note that the official website of the CBN is http://cbn.gov.ng.”
