The Osun based journalist and publisher of CityMirror News, Ayobami Agboola, has been conferred with the honorary chieftaincy title of Asiwaju of Kajola in Ede North Local Government Area of Osun State. His wife, Yetunde Agboola was also honored with the title of Yeye Asiwaju of Kajola.

 

The conferment ceremony, which took place on Friday, was presided over by the Baale of Kajola, Chief Yunusa Kabiru, who urged the new Asiwaju to remain committed to the development of the town.

 

He highlighted Agboola’s contributions to Kajola’s growth, noting that his impact earned him the title despite not being an indigene of Ede.

 

“I pray that God grants you divine wisdom and guidance in discharging your new role,” Baale Kabiru said.

Also speaking at the event, the Iyalode of Edeland, Chief Osunsoko Kafilat, who represented the Timi of Edeland, congratulated Agboola on the recognition and encouraged him to deepen his commitment to the Baale and the people of Kajola.

 

I urge you to continue the good work you have been doing for this community,” she added.

 

The event was attended by community leaders, dignitaries, colleagues from the media in the State and well-wishers who celebrated Agboola’s achievements and his dedication to grassrootsdevelopment.
