SELF styled #TableShaker, Reno Omokri has written a strong worded letter to the former Presidential candidate of Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi in the 2023 presidential election.
Reno’s letter has to do with the blocking of Obi from entering Benue State Government on a courtesy visit to the IDP Camp and the Nursing School in Plateau State.
“Dear Peter Obi,
You are a Papal Knight of the Catholic Church of the Order of St Sylvester. Your brother is also a Catholic priest.
Sorely, rather than publicly quarrelling with the Benue State Governor, Reverend Father Hyacinth Alia, who is a priest of the Catholic Church, there are better and more private ways to resolve your dispute.
You can go through your brother or the leadership of the Catholic Church in Nigeria. You do not need to embarrass the Governor publicly.
You are quarrelling with your party. You are not on good terms with your State Governor. You squabbled with Nobel Laureate Professor Wole Soyinka, and you and your former spokesman are at loggerheads.
You were in APGA and left that party in disarray. You moved to the PDP and accused that party of being a “structure of criminality”. And now, you appear to be on your way out of the Labour Party, which you met united but have now factionalised.
If you are not able to manage your relationships with people who share religious, party, ethnic and professional relationships with you, then how do you think you can handle a multiethnic, multi-religious, multicultural and multiparty nation like Nigeria?
Crisis appears to follow you whereever you go, Peter. Maybe that is a sign to Nigeria that you are not a fit and proper person to preside over a nation as delicate as ours.“
