A non-governmental organization, Distinct Advocacy For Youths Empowerment And Healthier Society (DAYEHS) made surprise donations to hawkers of minerals and bottled water in front of the Ataoja School of Science along Gbongan Road, Osogbo, the Osun State capital on Friday, February 16, 2024.
The group’s mission was to raise the capital base of the hawkers for more profits in order to put smiles on their faces in this hard times to take care of self and their family.
DAYEHS group led by their Director-General, Nathaniel Fawamide told SOJ WORLDWIDE Correspondent that their goals is to banish poverty and lack to the barest minimum.
The joy of the hawkers knew no bounds as they shower prayers on the organizers of the surprise and unexpected donations.

According to Fawamide, DAYEHS was purposely established to perform the following objectives,
“Our Aims and Objectives
1. To organize enlightenment programs for young people on entrepreneurial activities, equip and motivate them thereby reducing joblessness and unemployment.
2. To promote innovation, creativity, discipline and self-reliance spirit among the youths and open their minds to areas of opportunities instead of the overdependence on white collar jobs.
3. To launch aggressive campaigns for moral values and ethical standards and discourage them from all forms of social vices for a better society.
4. To motivate the youths towards becoming job creators and not job seekers.
5. To contribute to the efforts of government in reducing the level of poverty and unemployment.
6. To promote healthy living and healthier environment to improve quality of life.
8. To provide humanitarian reliefs to the less privileged in the society.
