AWARD: The Director-General of the Buhari/Osinbajo Continuity Group (BOCOG) and the Commissioner designate of the National Population Commission (NPC) in Ondo State, Dr. Diran Iyantan was the cynosure of all eyes on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 in Akure.
The occasion was the 8th Ondo Celebrities Lecture & Awards facilitated by the City Movers Magazine on their 8th anniversary celebrations.
DG, BOCOG, Dr. Iyantan wins THE MOST OUTSTANDING MAN OF THE YEAR Award
The Chairman of the occasion, Senator Mudashiru Hussein was represented by Chief Samuel Abiodun Owoeye.
The celebrities are;
• Prince (Dr) Oladiran Iyantan – The Most Outstanding Man of the Year 2018
• Dr. Wahab Adegbenro – Most Outstanding Commissioner of the Year
• Otunba Alabi Alaba Charles – Outstanding Man of the Year
• Bakare Gideon Olusola – Role Model of Community Service
• St. Thomas Aquinas College, Akure – Most Outstanding Public Secondary School
The event held at Nigerian Union of Journalist Press Centre, Akure was with funfare with the Cultural Dance Group entertaining the guests who came across the length and breadth of the country to honour the celebrities.
In his acceptance speech, the D-G of Buhari/Osinbajo Continuity Group, Dr. Iyantan called for the support of every Nigerian to vote Buhari/Osinbajo in the 2019 presidential election. He also called for the extermination of corruption from our system in order to banish poverty. According to him, Nigeria cannot overcome poverty if we allow corruption to thrive.
