Federal Polytechnic, Ede has issued a statement to reopen the institution after members of ASUP and the management had a disagreement over several months of unpaid ‘earned allowance’.
Students staged peaceful protests over refusal of lecturers to attend classes for two weeks, the two entrance gates were locked by the students to show their grievances to the school management.
The statement signed by Alhaji I. T. Agboola gave insight into the schedules of resumption next week,
“Halls of residence should re-open for students to come on Saturday.
“The Polytechnic should re-open on Monday, November 16, 2020.’
” Lecture commences on Tuesday, November 17, 2020.”
