While workers in Ekiti State were dancing in Joy at the programme organized to mark this year’s May Day, in Ado Ekiti, reverse is the case for the Chairman, Academic Staff Union of Secondary Schools ASUSS, Ekiti East Chapter, Mr Michael Akinyemi who was involved in a ghastly motor accident.
Though leadership of his union has not confirmed this information, his colleagues told Newsmen that Mr Akinyemi got involved in the accident along Ikole-Ijesha Isu Road while riding on a motorcycle on his way to Ado Ekiti for the May Day celebration.
He was said to have been rushed to FTH Ido Ekiti where he gave up.
The news of his accident filtered in while his colleagues were at the venue of the programme and a prayer was said for him but it was too late.
