Student body of the Federal Polytechnic Ede are ready for a showdown with the ASUP for embarking on strike in the midst of their Semester exams thereby wasting their precious on campus.
According to the Press Release signed by the Student Union Preside if the FPE, Mallam (Comrade) Ajibade Quazeem Adekunle, he said the students have lost their patience in view of the uncaring attitude of the ASUP and the management of the towards the wellbeing of the students with leading headline,
“We have been pushed to the wall…our patience has been abused…students will rise against the wickedness of the ASUP.”

I bring you revolutionary greeting, from the school’s Barack of Freedom.
As your chief servant, I am sad seeing that our academic staff union -ASUP has embarked on strike again.
We students have been in this same level since 2019. ASUP has wasted enough of our time. And today, on behalf of thousands of FPE students, I’m here to say enough is enough.
We great and innocent students of Federal Polytechnic Ede are fed up of incessant ASUP crisis. We have paid our school fees and other dues. But we have been being denied access to education.
It is a big pity that our academic staff union has not been helping matter. It has always renewed crises even after many attempts by independent mediators to facilitate peace and harmony in the polytechnic community.
We students are tired. We have been pushed to the wall. And we will not hesitate to fight back the injustice and inhumanity against ASUP.
For the ASUP to embark on this strike, at a period we are about to complete our first semester examination and commence a new semester, it is now obvious that ASUP FPE has proved us wrong on our assumption that they are our fathers, teachers and role models.
They have proved that they are not our friends. They have declared a serious war against us and established a strong line of enmity against the students.
Our union has remained neutral since our emergence as students union leaders. We have done this to foster peace, accord and agreement.
We shall do everything to invite relevant bodies and personalities to intervene and save students in the hand of ASUP FPE.
In my capacity as the working and workaholic President of the Students Union, I will continue to implore students not to allow their anger control them, but rather they should have control over their anger.
Because many students are ready to take law into their hands against whoever is delaying their life progress. We are not expected to be here for life. We have so many to achieve outside.
It is wicked, parochial, barbaric and extremely selfish to declare a strike at the middle of exams. ASUP has proved to be our enemy and we are ready to champion this struggle to a logical and revolutionary conclusion.
We students should resume to school on Monday. And if academic staff refuses to resume duties, we students shall collectively dialogue to know the next step to take. When we get to the bridge, we shall know how to cross it.
While underground plans are ongoing, we also fault the school management’s inability to resolve issues. And we condemn the administrative flaw of the school management. Because the students resistance may be too heavy for the school management to control if things boomerang.
We have been pushed to the wall. And we shall not hesitate to fight for our right. Education is our right. The enemies of students shall have no rest.
