One of the leading first generation banks, Fidelity Bank Plc have lately been enmeshed in legal battles with most of its old staff.
12 of the committed ex-staff are among those who took the bank to National Industrial Court in 2017 for the bank’s refusal to pay them their retirement benefits.
The legal tussle between Fidelity Bank Plc and the 12 ex-staff who were denied their retirement benefits after they have served the bank for mandatory number of years will come up for hearing today at the National Industrial Court in Lagos.

Their last appearance was in November 18, 2017 but the session could not hold as the case was adjourned till today, February 22, 2018.
It would be recalled that in their last appearance before adjournment, the bank’s counsel told the court that these staff do not belong to the bank and few of those who have been paid retirement benefits were paid in error.
Today, the counsel to the staff would tell the court the facts on ground about the 12 staff who are waiting earnestly for their entitlements.
