“Tsav, who at different times served as Commissioner of Police in Abia, Sokoto and Lagos States, was a source of pride to the Nigeria Police Force.
“He died today at the Federal Medical Centre, Makurdi.
“For more than a decade, since he quit the police service after his 35 years of meritorious stewardship, accolades have not ceased to come the way of Tsav who is largely described as a crack detective. Along with some other officers of impeccable character, he helped change the concept of investigation in the Nigeria Police for a better output.

“Tsav is blunt to a fault and detests calling a spade by another name, even if he may have to bear the negative consequences for this principle. And this explains why he was always at logger heads with some bad and questionable characters, who paraded themselves as police officers during his stewardship,” he said.
