The Abuja-Kaduna train passengers were reportedly attacked by gunmen suspected to be kidnappers after they alighted from the Ruga Station in Abuja with three occupants of the vehicle kidnapped.
The Nation gathered that the incident happened when the passengers who arrived from Abuja at about 8:00 pm, were picked by their family drivers and being driven through the Rigasa-Afaka link road.
Meanwhile, a 60-year-old woman one of the victims was later abandoned at a riverbank inside the forest, due to her inability to trek.
The Nation gathered that the woman who is diabetic was just discharged from a hospital in Abuja.

According to a source, the kidnappers called the family to pick her at the riverbank because she was sick and could not trek. “So, the family went there on Sunday and met her.”
She is now receiving treatment at 44 Nigerian Army Reference Hospital, Kaduna
However, the kidnappers were said to have demanded N20 million ransom before they will release the remaining two victims.
A source close to the family said,
“as at this morning, they called and demanded N20 million and threatened that, if the family fails to bring the money on time, they will take the victims to Zamfara.”
Meanwhile, there was tension in Rugasa area of the state on Monday, following social media reports that bandits were gathering at Maguzawa Village six kilometres away from the train station.
It was learnt that the bandits were responsible for the weekend attack around the Train Station.

Sources confirmed that they met at Maguzawa Primary School last night before carrying out attacks on citizens plying Rigasa Link Road just after disembarking from the train.
The bandits were said to be under the leadership of a Commander named ‘Bardinge’ who arrived at the Maguzawa general area about six days ago.
It was gathered that the plan of the bandits, was to attack and kidnap citizens within the Rigasa Train Station or to open fire while the train is pulling into the Rigasa Train Station.
Meanwhile, Kaduna Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Yakubu Sabo, was yet to confirm the incident.
