Growing up, Julian Peter from Kenya, Ukambani Region, had to normalize life without a womb and a vagina. She was born with the condition Mayer- Rokitansky- Kuster- Hauser syndrome (MRKH) where you have no uterus or vagina. She discovered she had the condition when she was 17. This was after her legs had swollen and went to visit the doctor.

The doctor did a scan and asked her whether she has ever had her periods, and she said no. Another scan was done and that’s when it was noted that she didn’t have a womb and a cervix too. Efforts to open her up didn’t work and she had to accept her condition. Juliet cannot get her periods, let alone giving birth.
Julian says she has not had it easy with people who live around her or know about her condition. People having different opinions on why she is like that.
At one point in her life she was told to go somewhere so that she’s prayed for as maybe she was bewitched. Because she’s from Ukambani, people had thought that her grandmother was behind her condition. But Juliet refutes all that and does no longer care what people say about her.
Her dating life has not been easy either. In 2018 she had her a vaginal canal reconstructed but she says she is not ready to have sex. She is not in a relationship and any man who would want her should be ready to adopt kids
She has learned to live her life positively and not minding other people. And at 29 years, she still has a life ahead of her which she uses to fight stigma on people with the same condition. She says she is strong and any other person would need emotional counselling as the trolls are not easy.
