Dr Harun Ibn-Sina, the Commander-General of the board, said the agency merely acted following a tip-off by a good Samaritan.
Hisbah had said it apprehended 47 young men and 31 under-aged girls for engaging in illicit acts at the White House Restaurant in Nasarawa GRA, Kano.
A statement issued on Wednesday, quoted Ibn-Sina saying “They were found in compromising positions using drugs, while preparations (by them) were in top gear for the commencement of a birthday party”.
He described youths as the leaders of tomorrow and urged their parents and guardians to be more vigilant due to the high level of moral decadence in society.
Meanwhile, he added that the board had commenced an investigation into the incident and would invite parents, guardians of those arrested for necessary action.
Also, he reiterated the Hisbah board’s dedication to sanitising Kano State and ridding it of all forms of vices.
