One of the notable governorship aspirants in Osun State, Hon. Gafar Akintayo AMERE has debunked the rumour making the rounds that he has withdrawn from the gubernatorial race in Osun State.
The statement was made available to SOJWORLD.COM by the Director of Media and Publicity, Shola Kudaisi at Amere Campaign office in Osogbo on Wednesday.

The statement reads;

It has come to our notice at Amere Campaign Office, otherwise known as “Itesiwaju Osun, O di dandan,” that some mischievous people have been going round with fake News that our Principal, Honourable Amere Gafar Akintayo has stepped down for another candidate.
The question to ask is, for what.?
There is no need for such retrogressive action as Honourable Gafar Amere is eminently qualified to govern the State of Osun after the tenure of Ogbeni Aregbesola.
Our programs, apart from the continuation of the programmes of infrastructural development of Aregbe administration, is second to none.
Therefore, kindly ignore such rumour which are baseless, reckless and irresponsible.
