I am compelled to call on Governor Ibikunle Amosun to urgently fulfill a promise he made openly to hundreds of house and shop owners who were affected by his demolition exercise in parts of Ogun state especially in Alagbole/Ojodu Akute axis.

As an Honourable and someone who lived in this axis, as a member of the same political party, and as an humble opinion leader who have respect for constituted authority and the person of His Excellency Gov. Ibikunle Amosun.

I feel I should alert you of the plight of the citizens of this area, some of who are elders of our great party, senior citizens who have retired after meritorious years of service to this nation. Some of these property owners have died out of frustration; developed stroke in the last two years while many were rendered homeless.

As a former Honourable of the House of Representatives, I lived within these people, I am a victim though I clearly understand the need to sacrifice for development but I am of the opinion that there must be adequate budgetary plans before embarking on such developmental project and therefore to wake up and put citizens in pains, woes and abject poverty in the name of transformation is indeed counter-productive.

I am particularly worried as our party approach election years and things like this will certainly count no matter the success recorded by any government be it state or at federal level.

Let us be sensitive to people’s plight please!
