Hope of restoration of electricity to all the Local Government Areas in the Ondo South Senatorial District was revived on Wednesday by the Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu in fulfillment of his electoral campaigns.
The areas involved are Aye, Irele, Okitipupa, Ikoya, Igbokoda, Ese-Odo communities, Ilutitun-Osoro, Iju-Odo, Igbotako, Oloto and others.
It would be recalled that SOJ WORLDWIDE made a special publication using Demola Suzi’s OKUKUN E YEWA evergreen album to back it during the electoral campaign for the governorship seat in September 2020.

“In a bid to restore power to the Southern Senatorial District of Ondo State after over 11 years of power outage in the area, Governor @RotimiAkeredolu, SAN met with the Ondo South Power Project Committee headed by the Abodi of Ikale, Oba George Faduyile.
Briefing the Governor, the Chairman of the Ondo South Power Project Committee, Oba Festus Olumoyegun, the Oniju of Iju-odo, said tremendous progress have been made in reconnecting the district to the national grid.
Oba Olumoyegun said power transmission to the area will be gotten from Omotosho Transmission Company of Nigeria.

Earlier, the consultant for the power project, Engr. Idowu Desmennu said by the end of November, power will start to radiate in Ondo South.”
