Gbenga Owolabi, a hotelier who was killed in Ogbomoso by yet-to-be-known kidnappers on August 2nd 2022 was buried on Saturday, October 1st 2022 in Maryland, USA.
Recall Mr. Olugbenga Owolabi, the owner of Tina Hotels, Ogbomoso, Oyo state came to Nigeria to invest but met his untimely death from his kidnappers after the payment of an N5m ransom.
A final student of the Ladoke Akintola University, Ogbomoso, Oyo State, Rachael Opadele, who worked part-time at the hotel due to the ongoing strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities was also murdered. They were both killed by their abductors despite payment of N5m ransom alongside a motorcyclist.
Owolabi was said to be living in Maryland, United States of America, and recently decided to invest in the hospitality business in Ogbomoso.
