The All Progressives Congress (APC), Lagos State chapter, said it is currently working on resolving the crisis between Governor Akinwunmi Ambode and lawmakers in the state’s House of Assembly.
The House of Assembly had on Monday threatened to commence impeachment proceedings against Ambode over alleged gross misconduct, particularly with regards to the 2019 budget of the state.

The move, however, has generated widespread criticism among Lagosians and civil society organizations who have staged protests to the House asking the lawmakers to rescind the decision.
Speaking in a chat with us on Saturday, Alhaji Tunde Balogun, the State Chairman of the Party said leaders of the Party are currently working out ways to resolve the issue as there is a need for a good working relationship between the two arms of government.

He said “On the issue between the governor and the House of Assembly, we are working towards a settlement.
We believe there must be mutual cooperation between the legislature and the Executive. As a party, we are working towards a workable relationship between the two bodies,†he said.
