Humility personified is gone, Davest mourns Elekan of Ekan Land, Oba Ashaolu Adeyemi

One of the foremost monarch in Kwara State, Elekan of Ekan, HRH Oba Michael Ashaolu Adeyemi is dead.

Kabiyesi joined his ancestors on Monday, March 8, 2021 at the age of 70.

In a Press Statement released by the Registrar of Davest College of Health Technology, Rotimi Jolayemi made available to SOJ WORLDWIDE ONLINE  NEWS, described Oba Michael Ashaolu as a “father to all.”

“The Provost , lecturers and the entire students of Davest College of Health Technology Ekan Nla has expressed sadness over the death of the Elekan of Ekan Oba Micheal Ashaolu Adeyemi.

The late Elekan was a father to us all.

Davest College in a Press statement signed by the Registrar of the school, Rotimi Jolayemi commiserated with the children of the monarch ,wife,and entire Ekan Community.

The provost of the college, Dr Olusegun David Awoleye applauded the late monarch’s leadership style, noting that Ekan demonstrated strong concern and commitment to the welfare and the development of Ekan.

The provost said: “I received with sadness news of the demise of the Elekan of Ekan Nla, Oba Micheal Ashaolu Adeyemi.

“As a leader, Oba Adeyemi cared for his people, demonstrated strong concern and commitment to their welfare and the development of Ekan. During his reign, Ekan witnessed tremendous development, peace and stability.

“The late traditional ruler was a respected father and a huge supporter of our college. We will miss him for his wise counsel, wisdom and courage. Baba will also be long remembered for his impacts, achievements and outstanding legacies.
