“The Senate is the upper legislative chamber for matured minds. For me, I have been around in Osun, I was a cabinet member in the Akande administration as the Commissioner for Water Resources and Lands that endeared me to the people. During our tenure, health care was free and Osun did not go on strike because we made them happy”

He went further that he was the pioneer leader of Oranmiyan Movement.  “I became a prominent member of NADECO.  Bola Ige encouraged me and others because we are very young, It was through that ideals I became a politician. I know my people,  and my people know me and I know how to represent them.”

The former Commissioner said “Osun Central has the capacity to be the leading zone in terms of employment generation and human capital development.  The people are clamouring for regurgitation of the two moribund Nigerian Machine Tools and Osogbo Steels Rolling Mills. It has the capacity to turn around the economic fortunes of the state and the country. Several groups have demanded for this and I surely use my office to get it done.”

Chief Oyeduntan was asked why he left APC being a progressive party, he said he is still a progressive to the core but said APC is never a progressive party.
