The governorship candidate of the Action Democratic Party (ADP), Alhaji Moshood Olalekan Adeoti has denied ever signing any official document while serving as the Secretary to the State Government, without Governor Rauf Aregbesola’s express approval.
This was contained in a statement issued and signed on his behalf by his media aide, Mr Kayode Agbaje and made available to Journalists in Osogbo, while reacting to a circular signed by the ADP governorship candidate in 2016 and being circulated among civil servants in the state.Â
According to Alhaji Adeoti, the said circular which contained suspension of preferment, conversion, advancement etc. was  at the express prompting of the governor, who mandated his (Adeoti)  office to prepare and sign it before releasing it to the workers
“This particular circular was prepared from my office at the express prompting of Governor Aregbesola.Â

“There was no way such an important and sensitive policy of the government could single-handedly be handled by my office without the governor’s approval,” Alhaji Adeoti stressed.Â
He however attributed the recent release of the circular to the public to the handiwork of some individuals opposed to his ambition to become the next governor of the state
“The recent release of the circular to the public was the handiwork of some individuals who would stop at nothing to frustrate my aspiration to rule the state,” he said.Â
He however further stressed that workers in the state know who their enemies are.Â
“Osun workers are no fools. They know who their real enemies are,” he noted.Â
He had categorically made it clear at various fora that workers in the state under his administration, when elected, would have one of them as a cabinet member to represent their interest.Â
Alhaji Adeoti further affirmed that the ADP government under his control, would create among the state workers a new sense of belonging, which had for long taken leave of the state.Â
He further reiterated that he is least surprised on the latest development, as it is a reflection of the fear in the hearts of the masterminds of the public release of the circular at this period when the governorship election is just few weeks away.Â
