The lawmaker representing Oguta constituency in the Imo State House of Assembly Hon. Barrister Frank Ugboma has put great smiles on the faces of his constituents especially the less privileged and disabled people.

The kind hearted lawyer who started grassroots empowerment program since December 2020 through the distribution of food items such as bags of rice and other items.
He also sponsored various grassroot football competitions with winning communities bagging prizes and millions of naira.
Hon. Barrister Frank Ugboma who is the Deputy Minority Leader of the Imo State Gouse of Assembly again on Sunday surprised his disabled constituents by hosting them to eat lunch with him is his Orsu Obodo home where he had a heart to heart interaction with the disabled persons after which he gifted them with so many gift items such as large numbers of wheel chairs, a bag of rice each, cash and other gift items.
The disabled persons who spoke through their Chairman said that his members are filled with joy and appreciation. He said “we can not thank Hon. Ugboma enough for finding us worthy to eat on the same table with him and cracking jokes and throwing banters. We feel loved and important now. This is unusual for a serving elected official to remember us in this manner especially now that there is no election around the corner.”
The Special Assistant to the Lawmaker on Grassroots Mobilization and Empowerment, Mr Sam Chuks Uba who spoke to our correspondent also said, “this is yet another landmark grsssroot empowerment amongst many by our kind hearted House of Assembly member, who as an opposition lawmaker earning less than one third of the entitlements earned by his counterparts in the ruling party, has positively touched the lives of most of his constituents and he is still doing more as you can see There is smiles on faces every where in Oguta Local Government because of the love we receive from the honorable member ” he concluded.
Speaking to journalists, the host Hon Frank Ugboma said,
“… We wish we have more to do more than this but I am just a lawmaker, I am not in the executive , there is so much suffering in the country, what we have done today is to make life worth living and more comfortable for persons living with disability and we will continue to do more for them and for every one in my constituency and beyond.” He said
