A young American mother identified as Mariah Thomas, 26, has been accused of baking her newborn daughter to death in an oven.
According to an arrest warrant, Thomas, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child after one-month-old Za’Riah Mae was found dEad with ‘burn wounds’, according to an arrest warrant.
On Friday, the day after Thomas birthday, the mom’s Kansas City home called the cops to report that a child is not breathing. The infant was found with ‘apparent thermal injuries on various parts of her body’, with her ‘blackened’ clothing melted onto her diaper when they arrived.

A traumatized friend of Za’Riah’s mother proposed that her “mental health may have played a role in the tragedy. She also told DailyMail that Za’Riah was a ‘very bubbly’ baby, who was ‘smiling all the time’.
“Mariah had mental issues from what I know and didn’t have the mindset of an adult, she thought like a child, the friend said, adding she last talked to the mom on Monday”.
The infant’s grandfather mentioned to the police that Mariah called him as at around 1pm on Friday that something was wrong with Za’Riah and he need to return home. On his return, he immediately perceived smoke . He found the baby dead in her crib and the mother said she had “accidentally” put her in the oven.

Thomas’ is an adorable mother whom refers to her daughter as a “princess” on social media.
However, she made a disturbing posts few weeks before the event complaining that no one checks up on her or her child. “Mfs claim they my friend by don’t never check up on me or Za’Riah, she wrote on January 20”.
Thomas has been transported to Police Headquarters for an interview. She invoked her Fifth Amendment right to remain silent notwithstanding, she consented to detectives obtaining a blood draw and accessing her phone data.
